Norman Ashton takes the baton from Glynn
Steward. "It's a bit embarrassing -
I can't recall this event! Sorry I can't be of more help. I do remember
a WC team entering the relay run round Norwich ring road on which I was
the last leg and Cambridge Harriers were competing - their last leg
runner was Herb Elliott (!) who went went the wrong way and got half way
to Yarmouth before realising his error - so I have the distinction of
starting my leg after him, but finishing before him." - Norman
Ashton
