Brighton 2011
60’s Bunch in Brighton.
A few of us made it to Brighton in April.
The Brighton Pavillion is an extremely interesting building to visit. The Lanes and North Lanes are full of atmosphere with their narrow streets, shops, eating places and pubs. We were in the Mesmerist pub every evening – can recommend it! No trip to Brighton can be made without a stroll and a drink on the pier. The new marina is a bit of a walk from town but we made it and there is a nice Wetherspoon pub there which was having a beer-fest! I didn’t realise the beach was all stone but we did have a light lunch on it – well, I thought it was Brighton beach but a local said ‘Oh no! This is Hove beach!’ Clearly we had gone over the border and not realised it! The weather was wonderful by the way!
