This photo of some of my friends [left] was sent to me just
after I'd left the College. I
was a student in the late 50's , leaving to join my parents in the RAF
in Singapore at Christmas 1960, at the end of my first lower sixth
term, having gained 8 'O' levels. My name then was Barbara Price. I was
a boarder in Peel Hall which was the old North House.
On our return from Singapore in 1965, I met up with and married Richard
Gilbert, another ex-pupil, an East House boarder. We have since
divorced but are in touch from time to time through our children.
Unfortunately I have, over the years, lost touch with all of them,
although I did send a recent e-mail to Philip Bacon when browsing
through your 'where are they now' page. Not had a reply to date [but now
believed to be in touch - Ed.]. On my return to England, I worked
as a lab assistant in Peterborough hospital and later King's Lynn. I
left work as I had the children, but returned to work as a phlebotomist
in King's Lynn hospital later moving to Southend doing the same job.
Now I am retired and living near Stansted airport
